The borders are used to stich at the end of the suits pallu. It is also used on sarees. It is the decorative ending of suits and sarees widely known as 'border'.

There are several kinds of borders starting with
1. Saree Border -
The border of saree is called saree border. It is printed and beaded borders.
2. Jacquard Border -
This border is also used in sarees.
3. Velvet Border :
The border made of velvet fabric is known as velvet Border.
4. Beaded Border :
The border made of beads is known as beaded border. It is found in sarees as well as suits.
5. Gota pati Border :
The border of dupatta and pallu with a lean strip of different decorative designs is known as gota pati border.
6. Embroidery Border :
The embroidered border of suit and saree is known as embroidery border.
7. Zari Border :
Zari border is a type of saree border.
8. Banarasi Border :
The Banarasi style of borders used in kameez, dupatta and saree is known as Banarasi border.
9. Net Border :
The border of suit and saree made of net in a decorative design is known as net border.
10. Scalloped Border :
The scalloped border in mostly golden colour used in suits and sarees, traditionally known as 'gota' is known as scalloped border.
